Charlie Davies is a former professional soccer player who was born on June 25, 1986 in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States.
Davies played as a forward and was known for his speed, agility, and goal-scoring ability.
He began his professional career with Swedish club Hammarby IF in 2006 before moving to French club Sochaux in 2008.
In 2009, Davies was involved in a serious car accident that left him with multiple injuries, including a broken leg, elbow, and eye socket. He missed out on the 2010 FIFA World Cup as a result of the accident.
Davies made a remarkable recovery and returned to professional soccer in 2010, playing for D.C. United in Major League Soccer (MLS).
He also had stints with other clubs such as New England Revolution, Randers FC, and Philadelphia Union during his career.
Davies earned 17 caps for the United States national team, scoring 4 goals in the process.
After retiring from professional soccer in 2017, Davies has worked as a soccer analyst and commentator for various media outlets.
